Getting ou of your comfort zone... part 1

Sitting in front of my computer this morning, I intend to write my first post (ever!) about getting out of your comfort zone. And I am frozen, clearly COMPLETELY out of my comfort zone. My Monkey mind is shouting at me :

What am I doing?
How can I put my thoughts out there for all the world to see?

What if what I write is not interesting enough?
And how can I think that people would be interested in reading it anyway?

Will people judge me if I am really honest?
And as a life coach, what will people think if I show weaknesses?

But what is the alternative, Monkey mind?

If I procrastinate,
if I don’t write this post,
if I don’t take the next step,
I won’t go far, will I?

Actually, if I don’t take the next step, I won’t go anywhere. I will stay in hiding in the comfort of our home. I will not stretch or expand. I will stay the same, far from my goals and dreams. I might even feel down, sad, unworthy. Yerk.  And I will not connect with you, reader.

So, you know, while I am considering not writing this post, it is not actually an option. I have stagnated in the past and it has not made me happy.

Because I know that when I do get out of my comfort zone, I feel more alive, more fulfilled...
And that’s a fact.

I might get things wrong sometimes, but at least I tried something, and I can learn from it.
And that’s a fact.

So whether it goes well or not, by getting out of my comfort zone, I will be a bit wiser and a bit stronger than I was, and I might even be a little bit proud of myself.

And the beauty of it is, that once you get used to getting out of your comfort zone in one area, then this comfort zone expands... so there is a bigger zone in which you feel comfortable. And then, you are ready to expand further, to take another step towards your goal!

AND YOU:
What baby step can you take towards your goal today?

Remember: Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
